Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada held a category-based Express Entry draw on June 25, 2026 for Healthcare and Social Services occupations, issuing 4,000 Invitations to Apply at a Comprehensive Ranking System cut-off of 475. It is the second Healthcare and Social Services draw of 2026 and follows the June 23 Canadian Experience Class round held two days earlier.

What's changed

The June 25 round invited 4,000 candidates with eligible work experience in healthcare and social-services occupations and a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 475 or higher. The cut-off is eight points above the year's first Healthcare and Social Services draw, held February 20, 2026 at a score of 467, while the 4,000-invitation size matches it. Invited candidates needed Express Entry profiles with a date of effect on or before May 21, 2026 at 12:14:09 UTC, the round's published tie-break.

Category-based draws invite candidates who qualify under a designated occupation category — here, healthcare and social services — rather than across all Express Entry programs at once. The category was expanded in 2026 to add social-services occupations alongside healthcare roles. With the June 25 round, IRCC has issued 89,067 invitations across all Express Entry draw types so far in 2026.

Who's affected

The invitations land with Express Entry candidates whose work experience falls within the designated healthcare and social-services occupations and who meet the category's eligibility rules. Candidates qualify through the category-based selection stream, which does not require a provincial nomination. The pool draws heavily on internationally trained healthcare workers and on graduates of Canadian programs moving to permanent residence, corridors that feature prominently in Canada's skilled-worker intake. Candidates invited in earlier 2026 rounds are not affected by the June 25 draw.

When it takes effect

The 4,000 invitations are live as of the June 25 draw date. Each invited candidate has 60 days to submit a complete electronic application for permanent residence, with supporting documentation including language-test results, an Educational Credential Assessment where required, proof of funds, and police certificates. The application window for June 25 invitees closes on August 24, 2026.
