Editorial Policy

Freshness

News articles carry the publication date as definitive — The Visa Wire does not silently re-publish older articles with new dates.

Country reference pages and nationality matrix pages are reviewed every 90 days. The “Last verified” timestamp updates each review.

Material policy changes within the 90-day window trigger out-of-cycle updates.

What this means in practice

  • News articles — published once, dated, never silently updated. Material updates appear as separate articles or as flagged edits with timestamp.
  • Country reference pages— reviewed every 90 days. “Last verified” date displayed prominently.
  • Nationality matrix pages — same 90-day cadence. Matrix cells (e.g., Indians-to-UAE) refreshed when reviewed.
  • Out-of-cycle updates — when a government announces a material policy change affecting a reference page, that page is updated immediately rather than waiting for the next 90-day review.
